Do you know her? Shania Twain? The "From this Moment" girl? Yes, she is the one. She is one of my favorite singers.

I love practically all her song in her album "Come on Over". I have the CD back home in Pinas and I think I have mastered each and every song in that album. The truth is, the CD is worn out already. So many scratches. You can definitely say it was working so hard. After all, I play it practically everyday...


Ok ok ok... What I love about Shania? Well, let me begin with her face. Her face, for me, is a sample of perfect beauty. I have seen and admired beautiful faces, but there is something about Shania's beauty. Its calming. I wish I have that beauty!!! huhuhu.




But she is more than a beautiful face.Her voice, for instance...ok her voice doesn't have that high range. Like Whitney, Celine, etc. But its soothing, and so country... I love her voice. Again, wish I have that kind of voice...Hello test mic one two three...

And lastly, I love her songs. you can say that all her songs are really well written, the music is well -arranged.

Here is one of her songs from the "come on over" album. I am surprised that it did not become famous like her "from this moment", "that don't impress me" etc. This is one of my favorite songs. Kmart Layaway for the Holiday

Shopping is so enjoyable, especially when you find an item that you like and have the money to buy it. But on the other hand it's frustrating to find an item that you like, but can't afford to purchase at that moment.

Well, for this holiday season, Kmart offers a layaway plan for all of us. Get what you want with Kmart Layaway for the holiday. Here is how it works:

Oh well, we are not going to bed yet, as we are still yelling and cheering watching the lakers play against the suns. So far the lakers are winning big and I hope they can hold on to that.

I made spaghetti for dinner. Not the typical Filipino spaghetti that I am used to. You know pasta with meat, hotdog, cheese, spaghetti or tomato sauce. Its a different kind of spaghetti courtesy of my Mother-in-law.

The sauce is a mixture of meat, green bell pepper, onions, garlic, cheddar cream, goldem mushroom, italian seasoning, diced tomotoes...My husband said I did good. It was my first try and maybe I really did good huh? Lami gihapon ang jollibee spaghetti!

The Girlie Got Caught!

It so happens that my husband runs around our gated community while I walk with weights. It is dark early here in California in the winter months, so we do this in the dark. Well, my husband was on lap 3 or 4 when he saw a young girl and boy alone on the sidewalk and the boy was tickling the girl...

HEY!!!!!! That is Say-J, our Girlie! Tim yelled at her,"Hey, young lady, you just got busted by the Run Police! Now get home right now!" Although he wasn't really angry, he still wants to let her know that he cares and doesn't like her isolating like that with a boy.

Anyhow, we had a little laugh and my husband just let her know that she and her little man should come and hang out at the house where I can keep an eye on their activities. Well, in case you haven't kept up with my blog, the girl is so so cute, and this is going to happen often...YIKES!!!!

Sears' Black Friday Sale

We went to a DVD rental store last sunday and checked out the latest movies released on DVD. I immediately spotted Kung Fu Panda. I told my husband I desperately want to watch that movie. Too bad, when we were about to pick up the DVD, it is in Blu-Ray. And that means we need a Blu-Ray Disc Player to actually watch the said movie. And so many nice movies on Blu-Ray disc are available.

Turkey Season

Big Bird! hahaha

Oh well, we went to Costco last sunday and we bought 1 big turkey for $0.89/lb. Poor big bird. With the Thanksgiving season, turkeys are murdered to be sold and then murdered when eaten! waaaa

So anyhow, we bought this humongous turkey and I am pretty excited to taste the goods! woohoo!! My husband will be the one to prepare it. Well, I know nothing thats for sure. When it comes to cooking turkey, count me out! Bulad ra ko kabalo ug itlog na pinirito!toink!

This weekend, we plan to buy another big bird, poor poor turkey and just freeze it. Accordingly, it can be left frozen for like a year and will still be fine. Its wise to play with the system. I mean now that turkeys are on sale, why not grab the opportunity to save money and buy them now right? ok ok I am rambling. Oh well, bottom line is, I WANT TO EAT IT NOW!huhuhuhu

So my husband, who is way better cook than me will be preparing our turkey dish. I will definitely pay attention to the preparation details. Well, dili man uso ang Turkey sa Pinas oi!waaa

Sears Layaway

Heard of Sears Layaway? Now you heard it right! This holiday season, you can shop now pay later with Sears Layaway. All you have to do is go to any Sears Full Line, Sears Hardware, Sears Grands and Sears Essential Stores beginning friday, November 14, 2008. Then choose the items that you like to layaway. Bring them to any register and just make a minimum downpayment of $15 or 20% of the price of the items. Plus the Non-refundable Service Fee of $5 for all new Layaway contracts, excluding Maryland's location which is $1. As long as payment is on time, the merchandise will be held for you until December 23rd, 2008, the date that the items must be fully paid.

I will definitely check out items some items that I can layaway. I will check out some apparels for my husband, as he needs additonal winter clothing for this cold season. And since we badly need a new gas range, now is the perfect time for me to check out this item on Sears. Of course, my husband will be very happy to check out the tools section. A Usual Wednesday Morning

Hello Everyone...

Its been a while since I last posted. I have been so preoccupied with other things that I failed to keep this blog updated for a while. But now I am back balakubak...

Things are going pretty mellow with my household. Usual things happen everyday. Events and occurrences that are common to men. Toink!

Seriously, we are pretty mellow. I am still hoping to find a good job. My hopes are still up high. I was scheduled for a job interview last thursday by a restaurant chain (applied as a cashier!Oh laban!?hehe). I was pretty excited, as I have a friend in Indiana working with that same company and accordingly she is paid $10/hour. So you understand why I am pretty excited. If in Indiana that particular employer pays their employees that amount, that means they pay higher here in California.

To cut the story short, I did not show up for the interview. Indiana ako!(Indian pana pakana kana!) My husband doesn't approve of me working there and he doubts it if I will be paid $10/hour or higher. He said that its not worth it. So as a wife in subjection to her husband (ehem), I gladly obeyed my husband's desire (though I argued at first!waaaa).

So here I am, still actively waiting for a job opportunity. Sometimes, I get irritated, becomes so impatient but I know the right job for me will come along. Like my dear husband, my bestfriend tells me, 'a better opportunity will come your way, so don't be too in a hurry'. hay buhay..

Hello Everyone

I am just being very mellow the entire week. And when I say being mellow, its more of being "sleepy". hahaha

I am so preoccupied with my research on how to get a teaching certificate here in CA so I can practice my profession. Its going to be a long, expensive process. But, like my hubby tells me, its a good investment. Yesterday, I called the School District and asked about some details for the evaluation. The lady was just so nice. And she gave me the information I need.

So I would start gathering my credentials and have them ready to send to the Evaluating agency. Whew! It would break my heart if I will not be qualified to teach. I am not really crazy about teaching but it would be a very nice career here. Give me at least 3 more years and maybe I will come to really love the profession. Hay!

So anyhow, this is the latest about me. For the first time in my life, I am loving reading!wahaha.
