Nice (sigh!).

Just a quick update before I get ready for work. I had 2 consecutive interviews this week. One is for the Bank of America where I applied as a Teller. I passed the first interview. Now they are going to conduct some background check on me. Then the final step is an interview with the bank Manager.

Then i also had an interview for Flextronics. I applied for the position of Retail Service Technician. More of troubleshooting phones etc. Kinda interesting company. And very nice pay. I was told that I will be called on Wednesday to let me know if I made it. Whew!

Now, I am back to reality. Time to get ready for my work. By the way, did I tell you I like my present manager, Ms Nuey? She is a Thai. She is nice to me in so many ways. If I quit JCP,I will surely miss her. Akel lang...

CA ARCserve

Company's data is its heart. I start at 4:30pm till 12 midnight! Whew! Its going to be along night but it will be just fine.

The store is getting busy with holiday shoppers. Busy shift makes time run fast. So its not that bad.

I had a terrible yesterday. I was so dumb. My husband was so excited with our dinner for last night. Turkey!

So in the morning, he woke up and spread some butter all over the turkey and asked me to preheat the oven at exactly 11:30am at 475 degrees. We will slow cook the turkey for 6 hours. He called me from work at 11:30am and told me to do so. So I started the oven and waited till it reached 475 degrees. He then told me to put the turkey, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Then after 20minutes, cover it and lower the oven's temperature to 250 for slow cooking. I was playing with him while tells me what to do. I deliberately played around the temperature. He told me 250 I say, "Ok, 275, 300?" Finally, I told him I will do what he tells me to do.

So after preheating the oven at 475, I placed the turkey, uncovered, and set the timer for 20 minutes. Then I after 20 minutes, I covered the turkey and went upstairs and be lazy. Guess what I forgot? I forgot to lower the oven's temperature to 250!

So my husband came home from work at exactly 5 pm. So excited for his turkey. He then saw that the oven was still set at 475! He turned it off, then called me (I was upstairs trying to iron my hair!). I hurriedly came down and witnessed a burnt turkey! So I ruined our dinner! waaa

Charter's Daily Deal Sweepstakes

Over the last two years, Charter has outpaced the industry in creative and newsworthy Sweepstakes including great prizes like an HDTV-a-day, Toyota Prius, a new 2010 Chevy Camaro 2SS, Xbox 360s and more.

And now, Charter is once again giving away amazing prizes before the year ends. I like the convenience of shopping online. I especially love sites that have everything you need. From shoes, clothing, handbags to housewares, cosmetics. Just practically everything.

I came across the site called Zappos. This site is amazing for online shoppers. They have everything you need. And you can even shop by brands. Amazing!

I was browsing Zappos and Patagonia caught my attention. They have really good deals. And they have a variety of selection for you to choose from. Their winter clothing is on sale. For instance, their women's downtown loft jacket is only $250. And the reviews for this jacket are impressive. Perfect for the winter season.

And Patagonia is always adding new stuffs to their collections and styles. As a matter of fact, we can expect 87 new styles arriving in January 2010, 193 new styles arriving in February 2010, 132 new styles arriving in March 2010. Cool.

So why not check Patagonia at Zappos yourself?

New Haircut

Well, let me start by saying I survived the Black Friday! Whew! What a day! I started working 3:45 in the morning. I was so sleepy but I managed to stay awake and focus on what I was doing.

Then at 11:45am, after my shift, my husband picked me up and we went to eat our lunch together. Then he dropped me off to the mall at 1:30pm for my appointment at the salon. i wanted to have a new hairstyle.

So I decided to cut my hair short (bago!) and have a little color (bagong bago!). So my hair is no barely touching my shoulders and I have caramle highlights (naks! yes ya lang!).

I am happy with my hair for now. I know its still salon fresh thats why. I asked her about the results of several tests that she had.

First, her UTI was finally cured by that IV medication. Then she told me that the doctor declared her CANCER-FREE! Yehey! My Mamang is well. So happy.

I can't wait to see her next year. I am happy because by then, she had regained her strength and vigor and will be the same strong, active woman I know.

I was pretty optimistic that she will be cured. She is a strong woman. Like I have mentioned in my earlier posts, she is very strong spiritually. Her faith and integrity helped her alot. I would love to see my mother back to being active in her service to our God, Jehovah. Thats the thing that she loves to do the most. That is her career. And she is very good at it.

Too bad, I won't be seeing my father . But you see, the resurrection hope is so comforting. I know that if I keep my integrity, I will be seeing my father again. And by then, he will be strong like he used to be and will recognize me again. I can't wait to tell him that I love him with all my heart.

Ok...emo ya yo. Numa man kontra. My father passed away November 7 and was buried November 13. I wasn't able to go home. Hahay!

Well, my father's death wasn't really unexpected. He had suffer from stroke 2 times. The last one affected his brain and left him unable to speak or even recognize most of the people around him.

Whew! Vita Luna (Crazy Life). My mother just finished her chemo sessions. Then had to undergo an IV type of medication to cure her UTI. Just after she finished her IV medication, my father passed away. Its a beautiful car! Its basically my husband's car (because its a muscle car!) but he wants me to drive it too. Since its brand new, I am not comfortable to drive it yet. I might be the first one to put a dent on it. So not yet...

Oh well, as usual, I have been pretty busy with my life, balancing work and being a wife and chores at home (and giving my Rocky love too!). So no matter how I try to keep my blog updated, I just have no time to do it. Oh well, C'est La Vie...

Well bloggers, I hope we all have a wonderful blogging week. I kind of like it, as it feels good to go to bed in the evenings. But the downside of it is that it makes it difficult for us to get out of bed in the mornings! Whew! Oh well...

I had a day off yesterday. Just when I thought that I will be all alone in the house the whole day, my stepdaughter texted me around 8am and wanting me to get her from school because she wasn't feeling well. In the end, my husband told me he will be the one to take care of it.

So my husband took his daughter home and guess what? He surprised me! He took a day off! He decided that since the shop was not that busy, he will just spend time with me. I worked the whole weekend so we never had time to bond. I was so happy. We practicall did nothing yesterday. Just relaxing, watching movies in DVD/cable and football games. It was so nice.

Oh well, today? Back to reality. He works and I work later tonight (hahay!)

Tag your Friend at Facebook

Do you have a facebook account? Oh well, keep trying huh? hehe

Well, I enjoyed the long weekend with my husband. We just spent time doing things together. Best things in life are for free and spending time with my husband is indeed one of them. I love my Timtim so much.

My mother is going to have the 5th session of her chemo this coming Sept 15 I guess. I hope she will be alright. I can't help but worry about her.

I dont really have much to say, as I am tired and hungry (and I am talking stomach growling!). So I guess I will call this a day and I will just relax and enjoy the evening.

Have a wonderful night everyone.

Watermark

Its back to school here in the US. I know my stepdaughter will need another backpack for this school year so I am glad I found this website. Pait gane keda housewife! ehehe.

Oh by the way. I recorded the song of Taylor Swift. Haha. The song Love Story. Was so busy with love and career (naks!)

Ok. Updates and never ending updates (as if ta le kamo mi post!If I know!!) First, my mother is undergoing chemo. Her cyst turned out to be a stage 2 ovarian cancer. She will be having her 5th out of 6 sessions on September 11. I am so worried about her. I hope after her sessions, she will be cancer free and then she can enjoy doing the things she loves to do the most - her services to our Creator. I have plans to go visit her early next year. I am excited to be back to my homeland. Ang bayan ko tanging ikaw Pilipinas kong mahal...ang puso ko at buhay man (ready? sing!!nyahaha)

Second...I am now wearing contacts. I got rid of the eyeglasses. I had my eyes checked last week and the optometrist said that I became more nearsighted but nothing to worry about. So I told him I now prefer contacts. I am to return on monday for my follow up check up.

Third...I think I am gaining weight! waaaahhhhh! I rarely go to the gym. No time, so lazy. So I know when I go back home next year,my closest friends' first reactions will be "You are fat(ter!)" Saon!!

Fourth...I miss home, I miss my family, I miss my friends, I miss the congregation, I miss having fun, I miss tricycle, I miss jeepneys, I miss kikiam, I miss IUD, I miss bananaque, I miss mango, I miss galunggong, I miss ginataan. I miss everything I have back home. I may not have the best life back there, but for me, it was just perfect! But no regrets. My husband is worth it. (love conquers all! tarush!)

Ok I am rambling. So I will end my "updates".

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Website Hosting Geeks

The Internet is a great place to find information about everything, including web hosts. As usual, I have been very busy with my work that I could hardly find time to post here.

So maybe a quickie update will give you the idea as to how life is treating me (hehe). Well, first stuff, my mother had a successful operation. She is home now and recovering yet waiting for the result of the biopsy. I hope the result will be just fine.

My husband recently upgraded his phone, as his line was eligible for upgrade with the "nation's fastest 3G network" kunuhay. He is quite happy with his new phone right now and I am pleased too. My line is actually eligible for upgrade as well and I was considering getting an iphone. But then when I read about the extra charges by merely using the iphone, I decided its wise to just keep my eyes simple and not to get an iphone.

Example of the extra charge is the $30/month fee which we need to pay as a license or permit to use the iphone in the US. Then the unlimited text messaging that is part of our family plan is not applicable to the iphone. So in order for me to enjoy the unlimited text messaging, an additional $30/month is needed. So I decided its just too much for me and I should just choose another phone.

My husband runs like a maniac. Wowser! You should see him run. How fast can he run? He can run 10 miles in less than an hour! He can actually cover 5000meters ( 3 miles) in about 14minutes. He is getting it done! I am so proud of him.

I guess thats all I can think of right now. I just needed a whole day rest and I requested a time-off from work for 3 days, starting tomorrow till monday.

Goodmorning Fellow Bloggers

Be a Hacker!

I am talking about being a Certified Ethical Hacker. He sounded scared and was about to cry.

So my husband went to the place and found out that my STEPson got busted by 2 police officers. Ngano man daw?

Here is what happened. He was on his way home from the gym and he failed to stop completely on a 4-way stop intersection. We know (including my STEPson) that this is one of the spots that police officers watch every night (located on top of a hill).

So 2 police officers stopped him over and asked for his license. But the thing is, he DOESN'T have a license yet, just a learner's permit! whew! He is driving without a license! matay! So he got the citations for driving without a license and for not stopping at the stop sign. Double the trouble huh?

Lighter side of the story...The police officers were really considerate and nice, according to my husband. They could have called a towing company to have the vehicle towed (extra expenses for us folks), but did not do so. Instead they just let my husband drive his car home then go back there to drive my STEPson's truck. Good thing the incident happened few blocks away from our home.

So we will wait for the judge's decision by June whether my STEPson's most awaited driver's license will be suspended for another 6 months or not. Here in California, they are specifically careful in giving licenses to teenage drivers. So this incident must have cost my STEPson his license in June when he turns 16. We will see. Abangan ang susunod na kabanata...

Good morning bloggers...

Krafonline Handmade Batik Store

I know quite abit about Batik.
