Its been a while since I posted. As usual, I have been very busy with my work that I could hardly find time to post here.

So maybe a quickie update will give you the idea as to how life is treating me (hehe). Well, first stuff, my mother had a successful operation. She is home now and recovering yet waiting for the result of the biopsy. I hope the result will be just fine.

My husband recently upgraded his phone, as his line was eligible for upgrade with the "nation's fastest 3G network" kunuhay. He is quite happy with his new phone right now and I am pleased too. My line is actually eligible for upgrade as well and I was considering getting an iphone. But then when I read about the extra charges by merely using the iphone, I decided its wise to just keep my eyes simple and not to get an iphone.

Example of the extra charge is the $30/month fee which we need to pay as a license or permit to use the iphone in the US. Then the unlimited text messaging that is part of our family plan is not applicable to the iphone. So in order for me to enjoy the unlimited text messaging, an additional $30/month is needed. So I decided its just too much for me and I should just choose another phone.

My husband runs like a maniac. Wowser! You should see him run. How fast can he run? He can run 10 miles in less than an hour! He can actually cover 5000meters ( 3 miles) in about 14minutes. He is getting it done! I am so proud of him.

I guess thats all I can think of right now. I just needed a whole day rest and I requested a time-off from work for 3 days, starting tomorrow till monday.

BUSTED!

Last night, at around 11:50pm, my husband received a call from his son asking him to go to a specified location immediately. He sounded scared and was about to cry.

So my husband went to the place and found out that my STEPson got busted by 2 police officers. Ngano man daw?

Here is what happened. He was on his way home from the gym and he failed to stop completely on a 4-way stop intersection. We know (including my STEPson) that this is one of the spots that police officers watch every night (located on top of a hill).

So 2 police officers stopped him over and asked for his license. But the thing is, he DOESN'T have a license yet, just a learner's permit! whew! He is driving without a license! matay! So he got the citations for driving without a license and for not stopping at the stop sign. Double the trouble huh?

Lighter side of the story...The police officers were really considerate and nice, according to my husband. They could have called a towing company to have the vehicle towed (extra expenses for us folks), but did not do so. Instead they just let my husband drive his car home then go back there to drive my STEPson's truck. Good thing the incident happened few blocks away from our home.

So we will wait for the judge's decision by June whether my STEPson's most awaited driver's license will be suspended for another 6 months or not. Here in California, they are specifically careful in giving licenses to teenage drivers. So this incident must have cost my STEPson his license in June when he turns 16. We will see. Abangan ang susunod na kabanata...

A Bad News from Home

I was informed that my mother has an ovarina cyst. Because its already full grown, it can't be cured by medication. So she needs to undergo surgery to get rid of that cyst. Then after the operation, a sample will be taken to the laboratory to know if its malignant or not.

I know alot of women undergo surgery because of ovarian cyst. I was able to talk to some who had that procedure and they assured me that its not at all life threatening. But still I am worried about my mother. She has a minor heart defect, a slightly enlarged heart.

Anyhow, she is now in the process of acquiring clearance from her cardiologist then afterwards get ready for the surgery. I told her to be strong, as I have plans for her. I will be visiting them early next year. Then I do have plans to petition her to the US when I become a US Citizen in approximately 2 years from now.

I love my mother and I am earnestly praying for her safety. I know she is strong. In fact I do believe she is stronger than me. Her faith is her strongest armor.

BUSY-NESS

Just wanting to post a quickie update here folks...

Well, JCPENNEY will be having its annual inventory today and tomorrow. Because of this, they increased my work hours so that I can help with the preparation. Whew, t'was a busy week for me last week and still busy this week.

Last week, I worked practically the entire week. So all work and no play for tita! Hay Buhay...

Spring break is over and its back to school time. Its alright though, for we only have 8 more weeks till summer vacation.

The weather is really bizarre this week. Started sunday, wowser! Temperature is approximately 90+ degrees Fahrenheit here in Oceanside. And its not even summer yet. When I got in to my car yesterday after my work at school, I had to turn the car's AC on and at the same time open all window to let the hot air out. It was like an oven! My husband teases me when I complain to him about how warm or hot it is here. He would say,"Hot? And this is coming from my Filipina girl who lived in the tropics all her life? hahaha".

Apparently, temperature today will drop. It may still be warm but well see.

MONSTERS VS ALIENS

So my husband and I went to watch monsters vs aliens last saturday. It was a pretty funny movie. But one thing that I was impressed more than the movie is the 3D effects that the 3D glasses used during the movie that was provided to us by the moviehouse. It was awesome!

Anyhow, this is my first time to go to the moviehouse since I arrived here in CA. Actually, I am not really fond of going to the movies. I just watch movies when they are shown on cable tv. But I was just curious as to how American Moviehouses look like. They are just similar to the Philippines moviehouses, just a little bit "advanced".

So bottom line is...I completely enjoyed the moment with my husband. It was priceless.
